Trail Pro Intel Help Center
What is Trail Pro Intel?
Trail Pro Intel is a mobile-first hunting intelligence platform for whitetail deer hunters, outdoorsmen, and serious scouts. It combines automatic trail camera analysis, 3D terrain scouting, solunar forecasting, precision weather, gear tracking, and GPS field notes — all in one app built for the field.
Is Trail Pro Intel free to use?
Yes. The Free plan gives you unlimited image uploads, a 3-day hunt forecast, basic analytics, and a 3-day moon guide. The Pro plan ($1.99/mo or $19.99/yr) unlocks 7 & 10-day forecasting, advanced analytics, the full weekly/monthly moon guide, 15 AI credits per month, and CSV data export.
What devices are supported?
Trail Pro Intel is available as a native iOS app and as a web app at trailprointel.com. Android support is planned for a future release. The web app works on any modern browser on desktop or mobile.
How do I create an account?
Download the app from the App Store or visit trailprointel.com and tap "Start Free Trial." You can sign up with Apple Sign-In (recommended for iOS for one-tap auth) or with your email address. No credit card is required for the free plan.
What is a credit?
One credit = one AI operation. That includes analyzing a single trail camera image (species ID, antler class, pattern detection), running a bulk AI analysis batch, or using other AI-powered features. Credits let you control how much AI processing you use each month.
How many credits do I get?
Pro subscribers receive 15 AI credits per month, automatically refreshed on your billing date. Free users do not receive a monthly credit grant but can purchase credit packs separately. Unused credits from paid packs carry over indefinitely; monthly grant credits expire at the end of the billing period.
What species can the AI identify?
The AI can identify 50+ species including whitetail deer (with antler class scoring and individual buck recognition), mule deer, elk, turkey, hogs, bears, coyotes, predators, and many more. It also records timestamp patterns so you can see exactly when each animal is moving on your property.
What trail camera brands work with Trail Pro Intel?
All of them. Trail Pro Intel is brand-agnostic — it analyzes photos from any trail camera. Just transfer your images to your phone via SD card reader, Bluetooth, or your camera's companion app, then upload them in Trail Pro Intel.
How accurate is the AI analysis?
The AI is highly accurate for common game species in clear daytime photos. Accuracy can vary with nighttime IR images, partial obstructions, or unusual angles. You can always review and override any AI tag manually — the system learns as you correct it.
What happens when I run out of credits?
You can still upload and view all of your trail camera photos — only AI analysis features are paused until your credits refresh. Your data and images are never locked or deleted.
What does the Pro plan include?
Pro ($1.99/mo or $19.99/yr) includes everything in Free plus: 7 & 10-day hunt forecasting, advanced analytics dashboard, full weekly/monthly solunar calendar, 15 AI credits per month, CSV data export, and early access to new features.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
On iOS, tap "Go PRO" anywhere in the app — you'll be prompted to complete the purchase through Apple's secure in-app payment system. Billing is managed through your Apple ID, and you won't be charged until after any trial period.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On iOS, cancel through your Apple ID: go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Trail Pro Intel → Cancel Subscription. Your Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period. We don't do partial refunds, but you'll have full Pro access until the period ends.
Do monthly credits roll over?
Monthly grant credits (the 15 included with Pro) expire at the end of each billing cycle. Credits purchased as one-time packs carry over and never expire as long as your account is active.
What happens to my data if I cancel Pro?
Nothing is deleted. All of your images, field notes, locations, and gear data remain in your account. You simply lose access to Pro-only features (extended forecast, advanced analytics, monthly credit grant) and revert to the Free tier.
How does the Hunt Forecast work?
The Hunt Forecast scores each upcoming day on a 0–100 scale by fusing solunar data, moon phase, barometric pressure trends, temperature swings, and wind conditions. Free users get a 3-day lookahead; Pro users get 7 and 10-day forecasts.
What is the Solunar Calendar?
The solunar calendar predicts peak animal movement times based on the position of the sun and moon. It shows major and minor feeding/movement windows throughout the day. Free users see 3 days; Pro users see a full weekly and monthly view.
How do the 3D terrain maps work?
The 3D topographic maps use Mapbox GL with real elevation data so you can visualize ridgelines, saddles, creek bottoms, and funnels before you ever set foot on the property. A live wind overlay and scent cone modeling layer helps you find entry and exit routes that keep you clean.
How does offline mode work?
Trail Pro Intel caches map tiles and your previously synced data (field notes, locations, gear, photos) to your device via IndexedDB. Once cached, you can access all of that data with zero cell signal. New uploads and analysis sync automatically the next time you're online.
What are Field Notes?
Field Notes are GPS-pinned journal entries tied to a specific location on your map. Log rubs, scrapes, observation sightings, stand activity, food source changes — anything that helps you pattern deer over a season. Notes are automatically linked to your trail camera data for that property.
What is the Gear Locker?
The Gear Locker tracks every trail camera and piece of hunting gear you own. Record battery status, assigned location, last service date, and maintenance history so you always know which camera is where, what batteries need changing before season, and when you last checked each site.
How many cameras and locations can I add?
There is no hard limit on cameras or locations. Add as many as you run.
Is my hunting data private?
Yes — your location pins, field notes, and camera images are completely private to your account. We never share, sell, or aggregate your hunting location data with any third party. You own your data.
Can I export my data?
Pro subscribers can export their camera analytics and sighting data to CSV at any time from the settings menu. We're building additional export formats (GPX for locations, PDF season reports) as part of the product roadmap.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with automatic daily backups. Your images are stored in secure cloud storage. Even if you lose your phone, your data is safe and accessible when you log back in.
